I want the upgrade, what do I do now?

Can we get future upgrades if we make changes such as adding intake, adding exhaust, etc. Are there stages?
The ECU will accommodate any new aftermarket performance parts install after the ECU upgrade. However, different combination of parts will results in different airflow causing the ECU to react differently.

Can I run NOS?
DRY SHOT
The ignition and fuel mapping will NOT be changed. The reason they are not touched is due to the nitrous leaning out the air fuel mixture. Our ECU upgrade program will safely lean out the stock setup. However, with a Dry Shot, it will lean the fuel mixture out way too much and causing detonation and possible engine damage. With the Dry Shot we can still raise the rev limiter, cut the speed limiter, remove of the feedback/detuning control loop, and remap the drive by wire.

WET SHOT
On a NOS Wet System we can modify the ignition and fuel maps since fuel and NOS is mixed together for the shot.

Can I run Turbo or Supercharger later on?
Yes, but the ECU will have to be reprogrammed for Turbo or Supercharger applications. The stock ECU will over compensate timing and fueling to run the Turbo/Supercharger. To take full advantage of the Turbo or Supercharger the ECU must be reprogrammed, this is the best way to run force induction.

Why does it cost so much?
After you drive your 350Z/G35/Maxima with the newly flashed ECU, the smile on your face will justify the cost! Seriously, though, in order to provide you with the best upgrade, it requires hundreds of hours of R&D and dyno time as well as a considerable financial investment before we put it out in the market.

My ECU has been flashed, but now I have turbo/supercharger my car, do I have to pay the full amount again?
We offer a special RE-FLASHING rate for previous flash customer of $150 + shipping.

Can I use 100 octane race gas?
There is no need for 100 octane race gas. However, the higher octane you put into the car, the better it will run.

Can I use 87...89... 91 octanes?
91 octane is the minimum octane rating we would suggest to run. 87 and 89 octane can cause damages to your motor in stock condition.

Does it improve gas mileage?
Overall gas mileage could increase a little. But if you’re constantly on the throttle to TEST the new ECU, the fuel efficiency will actually go down.

Can I drop by and get it tuned?
If you are in the area, we would be happy to meet with you. But we recommend that you give us a call and setup an appointment if possible to ensure availability of our technicians. We are open Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm.

Can I get a spare ECU/ do you have a core swap program?
No. The current Nissan models have an immobilizer chip build in each car with its own key for thief prevention. This means that you CAN NOT get another ECU and run your car. It will not start. However, we can duplicate your immobilizer into another ECU.

I have an automatic. Can you change the shift points?
No, however we can raise the rev limiter so the car will rev higher before shifting; if it’s hitting the rev limiter.

What is the typical turn around time if I send my ECU in?
Typical turnaround should be 3 days. One day to get it to us (if you send it overnight), one for programming, and one to get it back to you. We usually send out the ECU on same day, but if we receive many ECUs in one day, it may delay the return. Also, if our head-programmer has to work out of town or outside the country (yes, it happens often), custom tuning may require a couple of days, because it will be done over the Internet. It is a good idea to call us ahead of time to check on the status of turnaround time.

What's the warranty?
We offer a 15 days money back guarantee on our Flash. For OBDI type ECU that requires hardware and installation, they come with a one year warranty on parts and labor.

Will it affect my Nissan warranty if I bring it into the dealership?
We do not touch the diagnostic part of the program, so if the dealer connect their scan tool to your car, they can't tell if your ECU is reprogrammed or not unless you tell them so.

I want the upgrade, what do I do now?
If you are in California and would like to set an appointment to come in for flashing, please call (310) 787-0847. If you are sending in your ECU, please follow the ECU Removal Instructions and then package it up using bubble wrap, anti static bags (if possible) and packing peanuts. Ship it to our contact address with your name and a contact number.
